It's waaaay past my bedtime but I have to make this entry before I head to bed...

We've been out at a party tonight and I haven't had time all day to upload the first pictures of our baby!! I had the dating scan on Wednesday and it turns out that I was only 2 days behind on my dates (which I was quite impressed about!) so our baby is now due on November 16th. We got a couple of pics printed off and have been excited about showing them to friends and family, so here they are! I already put them on the blog site over there ----->> but thought I'd put them here too in case anyone wants a bigger look- and no, you can't tell the sex of the baby yet... we'll have to wait until July 3rd for the major scan for that!

As I mentioned over there ----->>, at the time of the scan the baby was 16 weeks and 5 days old, 11.47 cms long (4.5 inches) and weighed 7 oz! The first picture is pretty self explanatory- you can see the baby is on its side, with its little arm up next to it's face. The second picture is looking down on the baby- they called it "alien face"!- you can see the eye, nose and mouth sockets, it's brain and the little black spot in its abdomen which is the stomach. The sonographer has already told us he / she has very long legs!

We hope you like these pictures, we're infatuated with them :-) It's still hard to believe that this little baby is inside me, it's all very amazing really :-)
