Oookay... this moving house business is highly over-rated as far as I'm concerned.
I have no internet access. I have just realised there are at least a gazillion items I need to buy before / during / after we move and the gods have not called to say I've won x-lotto. And as of this morning, I cannot locate any clean underpants (possibly too much information?)
*sigh*
I am sitting in the Park Holme Public Library with exactly 32 minutes of time remaining on my one-hour booking, looking slightly frazzled. James and I have had a busy morning, went to the mall and aranged mail redirection and got some new bath towels amongst other things, and went and bought a tall boy for our new bedroom which we (or presumably me) will stain to antique maple beauty sometime this week. We're slowly getting there with the organising and packing, but there's still a ton of things to do- we're picking up the removalists truck tonight which James plans to load mostly himself ready for the morning- and as we take our first load to the new house we'll collect the tall boy on the way. I took time out from my bathroom-cleaning to quickly come on down here to do some online banking and to check the most important things like my hotmail and facebook, and of course to update the ole blog.
Sorry to digress, but this computer screen keeps changing colours from orange to purple to pink to red... it's really annoying- URRGGHH, now it's flickering, I can't stand it. 24 minutes remaining.
I went to the new house last Thursday night for the first time in around 3 and a half months, and actually felt excited about the move for the first time. Don't get me wrong, I've been wanting to leave Park Holme for a long time now, especially after the break in, but moving house is always stressful and because I'm such a worrier I find it all a bit much to deal with. But the new place is really lovely, definitely smaller but very cosy and warm and secure and new and there are sooo many power plugs around and lots of light and we won't have to sit in the dark and there's actually a power point in the bathroom so that I can blow dry my hair there instead of in the spare room and James can put his shaving gear in there instead of having to charge his shaver in the bedroom and the skirting boards are amazingly attached to the wall and spiders won't bite you when you sit on the toilet.... see how exciting it all is?!? :-) I hope the cats don't mind though- there's not much of a garden for them to play in- not many trees around for Dora to get stuck in (probably a good thing really!)
The baby is growing in leaps and bounds (literally- she's begin kicking my bladder in the middle of the night!) and has moved up a lot and invaded my beathing space- so that I actually find myself out of breath quite quickly. Before you say anything- no, I haven't been doing too much or any lifting etc etc, but even a few trips to the car with light handfuls of things makes me a bit puffed out. James has been great with everything and keeps telling me not to worry, so I know we'll get there in the end- think of us by the end of the weekend- it should all be virtually done! Hooray!
Well, even though I still have 15 minutes remaining, I really should get home and get back to packing. I guess the next time I blog will be when we finally get our internet organised during the week, and if that happens by Wednesday or Thursday I'll make an entry then (and finally post that last ultrasound picture). I have another hospital appointment on Thursday when I have to have my sugar load test to check for gestational diabetes and a general check up with the midwife, but otherwise there's not too much going on in the baby department.
Btw, has anyone noticed the blossom out on the trees? It's beginning to look and smell like spring! Brilliant :-)

I noticed the blossoms. There's a big tree that's in full bloom on the corner of North Tce and King William Road and it makes me happy every time I walk past and smell it!
See you tomorrow.
