Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

Sorry it's taken me ages to do another entry... the morning sickness demon has attacked with force since the last time I wrote, leaving me exhausted, crabby and quite pathetic :-) James says, "But I thought you wanted to be pregnant?" to which I snarl and snap back, "Yes, of course I want to be pregnant, I just don't want to spend the next 9 months with my head in the toilet"... before I hurriedly rush back to the the aforementioned toilet...

Urrgghhh.

Whoever called it morning sickness should be shot as it is not just in the mornings, it's all day, though the worst of it is generally over by 10am or so (since I get up at 5am for work, this is not as good as it sounds). There must be better things about being pregnant than this!! I'm hoping that it might start to subside in another month or so. Although James is the first to admit that my crazy behaviour of late is disturbing him ever so slightly, he has been great so far. Poor guy. It's not easy to live with someone as hormonal as me!

Anyway, the last couple of weeks have gone pretty quickly; it's been a bit of a whirlwind since James and I found out our amazing news... the day after my last blog entry was my birthday... Happy 30th Birthday to ME :-) On the Saturday we went into the city for a little while, and then I actually came home and napped for a while before going out to dinner. Later on we joined several of our family and friends to celebrate down at The Buffalo restaurant at Glenelg- we had a brilliant time, and I was very spoilt with all the presents I received!!

Today is my day off, the first of three, so I am trying not to do too much. It's a bizarre feeling when your body starts to control you, so I'm doing my best to listen to it and I'm resting when it says REST NOW. I love days off, I've been napping ferociously! I wish I could nap at work, that would be perfect :-)

Well, I'm going to go again- not feeling 100% as I type this so I'm going to lay down for a while. I promise this won't turn into a "pregnancy blog", but just wanted to explain my lack of posts lately.

More news to follow...
