I have been severely reprimanded for not updating my blog recently, considering we have been "back online" for around a week and a half now. I have thought about writing a post several times over the last 10 days but haven't because- a) I'm slack; b) we have a shitty dial-up connection right now because we can't get broadband at the moment (at least we have something so I should be grateful- and I would be if only I didn't have to contend with being disconnected every 10 minutes or so...); c) the lure of my new obsession Facebook is so strong that once I've finished mucking around with that I'm over dealing with having to re-dial my connection umpteen times. I think they're quite good excuses, really :-)
The last thing I'll say about our dial-up connection is that because it is considerably slower, I don't think I'll be able to upload any pictures for the time being- so any of you still waiting to see the last ultrasound photo, any pictures of my massive baby belly or pictures of our new house will have to keep waiting a while longer...
So anyway... the move is complete- we have officially been in our new place of residence for just over 2 weeks, and things are going great! James has been pining for the old house, but I think mainly he misses the garden and the space- the area we live in is not as old as Park Holme so there's not really many trees around, and our garden is quite bare but as I said to James, we'll get it looking nice soon enough and it will feel more homely. It was a huge ordeal to move from Park Holme- we had not realised the amount of stuff we'd accumulated over the 2 years we'd been there! We thought it fortunate at the time that the house had had a lot of storage space but it proved to be our downfall as we kept acquiring things to fill up all that extra storage space... and then moving to a place that has none has made our lives even more difficult!! But we're doing a great job going through and getting rid of all the things that we don't need- we've given a LOT of stuff to The Salvation Army and also a few large pieces of furniture to friends of friends- and we're still going through bits and pieces to give to my Aunty's church. It's kind of cleansing in a way to be able to get rid of so much, so that's the upside to all of this! James and our friend Ryan did all the heavy bits of moving on the Saturday (and many thanks to Lynn who helped me pack- she is an excellent packer!), then the next day we went back to the house to clean- OH MY LORD, what a horrible day. It made me shudder to see the house devoid of furniture but FULL of dust and cat fur and cobwebs... we honestly did not know where to begin. Suffice to say, it was a loooong day but once we'd finished the house looked fantastic- and going back on the Monday once the carpets had been professionally cleaned almost made us want to move back in... almost :-) We did a great job if I do say so myself!
We made sure the cats stayed inside for a couple of weeks, and this week I finally gave in and let them out for a couple of hours. Pandora was overjoyed and immediately began exploring. Ruby, on the other hand, freaked out and went and hid underneath our quilt in the bedroom. Not quite ready for the big wide world at Paralowie, I'd say :-) They've gone out a couple more times since then and she's coped better- even jumped over into the neighbour's yard yesterday and came back when she was called. They've been very good really.
We have been a little behind on the unpacking as within the week after we'd moved I came down with the flu and was actually in hospital for the day- which sounds worse than it actually was. I got a cough on the Thursday night, by Friday felt yucky and stayed home from work with what Dr. Eugene Wong with the electric blue hair labelled a Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (it's always an URTI when it's a non-descript cough-sneezy-cold type thing...) and then by lunch time on the Saturday I suggested to James that he take me to hospital as the whole thing had gotten worse, I had a very high temperature and had started vomiting- so I was worried about the baby and getting dehydrated. I knew how revolting I felt and wanted to make sure she was ok. Poor James was a bit overcome, he suggested we just go to the Doctor but agreed that the Lyell McEwin was going to be the best place to ensure the baby's well-being (and luckily it's just down the road from us now). Plus he knows that I'm not usually a drama queen when it comes to illness so he realised I must have been feeling bad. They virtually admitted me straight away (much to the chagrin of all the other patients waiting in Emergency!) and took me around to the Birthing Unit where they immediately hooked me up to the baby heart monitor to make sure our bubs was ok. It was a little disturbing to hear the midwives outside my door talking about "the tachycardia in Room 11" (ie: me) but all it meant was that my heart rate was up around 135 beats per minute and also my temperature was up around 39 degrees- and consequently the baby was distressed and her heart rate was up around 180 beats per minute... so they observed me for a couple of hours and then gave me water and paracetamol once I felt like I could keep it down- and I stayed there until 7pm until my fever broke and they were happy with the baby's heart rate once again. What a long story to basically tell you that I ended up being fine, hey! James stayed with me the entire day and got to listen to a couple of women in labor next door to my room ("Oh my God honey, did you hear that?!" *moans, groans, more grunting...* "Honey, I think she's pushing... (turning green...)" *more moans and groans, and eventually little baby cries...* Haha, I thought I was going to have to give him my bed for a moment there :-) So I recovered from my flu after a week or so... but James ended up being 2 - 3 days behind me getting it and of course it was much worse when he had it, apparently his spleen was even aching (who even knows where their spleen is, for God's sake?!?) Oh well, all's well that ends well- we're both fine now. Hurrah.
What else? Well, last night I finally sorted out the baby's room- it was starting to bother me. We had used it as a bit of a junk room for the last couple of weeks, to the point where we couldn't even step foot in there without treading on something so I took the bull by the horns and cleared it all out! All that's in there now is the baby furniture, her new pram that I also assembled last night and a massive teddy bear that was mine that I thought would look cute :-) Today I went out and bought a baby monitor, a few gorgeous items of clothing that I couldn't resist and a rocker type-thing. Only a few more essentials to get. I think James' mum is sorting out her linen and quilt etc, and I have to buy a little rug for the floor and some other wall decorations and a mobile for the cot... hmm, ok then, there are plenty of things still to buy... Well, the reality is is that you really could shop forever. So far I think I've been quite restrained :-)
I had my 30 week appointment at the hospital today and the midwife I saw was really pleased with everything- the glucose test I had a fortnight ago was completely normal (so no gestational diabetes), my blood pressure is excellent, and our little bundle of joy has grown 3.5 centimetres in the last 2 weeks and now weighs somewhere in the vicinity of 5 pounds, give or take, so she's doing extremely well. She's moving around a lot, and only today has begin to kick me under the ribs, so she's not lying horizontally across my tummy so much anymore but more vertically and still quite high up. I'm looking forward to her moving down a bit so that I can breathe normally once again and also regain some of my stomach capacity, which she's competing with for space! I had lunch with my Aunty Jeannine today and remarked to her that I shouldn't put so much food on my plate, that my eyes are much bigger than my tummy right now- at which she raised her eyebrows, looked at my belly and then laughed and said, "Actually dear, I don't think so". It was hilarious :-)
Now, I officially have permission to blog about this: CONGRATULATIONS to Lynn and Ryan who are expecting their own little bundle of joy!!! Lynn must be 14 weeks now (correct me if I'm wrong Lynn, the weeks are flying by...) so she's already into her second trimester! She's around 3 and a half months behind me, so is due at the end of February. HOW EXCITING!!
Ok that's all the news I have for the time being- I'll really try and post some photographs when and if I can! I hope this finds everyone well, and in the mood to come join Facebook and be my friend :-)

The internet has changed our world drastically over the retiring twenty classes. Not only has the net spread out the world by countenancing inst communication, but it has opened up the world by levelling the playing field for commerce. A soul no more has to have a stock social movement or a commercial federal agency to participate in the world of commerce. The net has allowed for many peoples to build an net home based business.
Constructing an internet home based business has got a popular means to feed a home based business. The advantages of melting a business online include having a big marketplace , many peoples that inflict that marketplace and a very lower overhead price .
Another advantage of unravelling an net home based business is the illusion of having a big business. The internet can make is a false sense of reality. One individual can run what seems like a large business, but is actually an net home based business.
